About the Master McGrath Festival.......
The Master McGrath Festival is named after a greyhound who became an Irish National hero by beating England's racing pride ‘White Rose’ and carrying back the coveted Waterloo Cup to Ireland three times. He was owned by Lord Lurgan who lived in Brownlow House.
This one night music event is the first of its kind within the town and will take place on Saturday 30th May 2020 from 5pm – 11pm within the grounds of Brownlow House. It is anticipated that over 3,000 people will be in attendance with a mix of headline acts from both Northern Ireland and England.
We anticipate this to be an economic and social driver for the town and with that comes opportunities for local business to advertise and maximise on the trade with people from all over Northern Ireland and further afield coming to our town (many of who will be camping on site).
As a voluntary, not for profit organisation we are hosting this concert to try and put Lurgan on the map with regards to music and a location to host prestigious events.
